For instance are reality TV shows a thing of the past? Rebecca Black would seem to prove this point. She's now internationally known for simply having fun with her friends all because of the power of viral net videos. Though arguably more talented Justin Bieber and the Arctic Monkeys were products of the same internet phenomena. However this leaves us in the position that if anyone is silly/outrageous enough they'll be able to elevate themselves to a level of fame otherwise unachievable, is this really fair, and are you popular for all the wrong reasons?
