It seemed it was the event no one could stop complaining about, too much public spending, etc... etc... this is only a short entry but as a citizen of London I was very proud of how our country came out in force and the PR it rendered positively for Britain as a state. More positivity is needed in today's society.
Having an extravagant wedding might have helped Britain’s gain international prestige, but if it upset its citizens, the internal publics of the country, the PR might backfire. In a period of time when budget cuts are introduced the royal family should show some solidarity toward the people they represent and limit their own expenses. But that's just my opinion...
